New BJP Manifesto Makes Many Promises

But a week remains before the elections in Delhi. With the battle drawing closer, a BJP manifesto was released today. It has made many promises regarding the tackling of a lot of issues that are currently being faced the city. The event where the BJP manifesto was declared was attended Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari, Delhi election in-charge Prakash Javadekar and Union ministers Nitin Gadkari and Harsh Vardhan, among others.

Manoj Tiwari spoke about the vision that the party held for the city of Delhi. On the other hand, Gadkari spoke about various city-specific development projects taken up the BJP-ruled central government.

In the coming elections, BJP will be pitted against AAP and Congress. The date scheduled for the election is February 8, 2020.

The following promises were made in the BJP manifesto:

BJP chief Manoj Tiwari said that the Ayushman Bharat Yojana will be implemented in the national capital if his party is voted to power. It is the center’s flagship health scheme.

The party has promised free electric scooters to economically weaker girls studying in higher secondary school and college. This has been done to facilitate easier access to educational institutions.

Manoj Tiwari said that the BJP if voted to power, will also cater to the city’s poor. They will be provided with flour for just Rs 2 per kg. The party also made a promise to ensure clean water supply to every household in the city.

The manifesto also promises a “permanent solution”. They are planning to do a sealing drive in the national capital for the benefit of local businesses. Thousands of traders have been protesting the move.

A government body will be made to ensure the development of new colonies in the national capital was also promised in the document. The Union Cabinet had earlier approved a much-awaited proposal to regularise 1,728 unauthorized colonies in Delhi.
